FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES?

I charge £30/hour for all organising work, be it home organising, office organising or personal organisation coaching. This might be face to face in your home, or via telephone. From experience I recommend 2 hour sessions for an organising project in your home. For telephone sessions, we can explore a lot of ideas and strategies for organising in 1 hour, but I recommend at least 2, 1 hour sessions to allow you time to implement actions.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes, I am insured and I am registered with a number of professional bodies. Maintaining safe and professional ways of working is central to my business.
Insurance – I have full and current Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance with Westminster Insurance.
Ethical Code – I adhere to the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers (APDO)  Code of Ethics.
HMRC – I am a registered as a taxpayer with HMRC.
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) – I am registered with the ICO for inclusion on the Public Register of Data Controllers.

DO I NEED TO BE THERE DURING A SESSION?

Yes, if the session is in your home. Organising is a collaborative process. The most important reason you need to be there is to be able to make informed decisions on the possessions you want to keep or let go of. My role is to be able to look with fresh eyes at a room, or space, and ask you constructive questions to help you decide what you feel is the right course of action to take. This can be emotionally demanding and I am there to support and motivate you through the process. I will also offer various solutions for how a space can be rearranged or introduce new ideas for using a space.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Completing an organising project will depend on a number of factors. How many items there are to process. How quickly decisions can be made on what to do with an item. How easily accessible the items are. The home assessment is a good opportunity to look at the space that needs organising and explore together your relationship with your possessions and your approach to organising. I will then be in a position to provide you an estimate for each organising project you decide to complete. I suggest a minimum of 2 hours for any organising project.

WILL YOU THROW MY POSSESSIONS AWAY?

No. I will never throw any of your possessions away. I am there to support you and challenge you to meet your goals for your organising project. Whilst many clients can feel stuck when it comes letting go of a possession, it is important that you make the final decision. I can empower you to make those decisions and take back control of your environment.

HOW CAN I PAY?

Payment is requested in full at the end of each session for the services and products provided. Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

Cancellations are sometime unavoidable. However, if you give less than three days notice this may result in a charge. The cancellation charge may be up to 50% of the agreed session value.
